Julian Schiller

Julian Schiller

Like so many writer/performers before him, Julian Schiller got his start in comedy at Law school, where he was involved in the Monash Law Review.

Regular appearances on 3RRR's cult radio programme the Breakfasters soon followed, along with regular live work, including two sell out shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

In 1997 Julian and his long term collaborator Tony Moclair made the move to Triple M where they wrote and performed a number of hugely successful nationally networked comedy programmes as well as co-creating two platinum selling, and ARIA award winning comedy CD's Guido Hatzis.

TV executives soon noticed Julian and Tony's radio successes and they went on to write, develop and perform in productions for The Comedy Channel, the Nine Network and the Seven Network.

Julian made a return to radio, firstly with controversial talk show Restoring the Balance on Triple J, where Julian and Tony co-hosted 'in character' as Young National, Tom Thomlinson and Young Liberal, Stirling Addison. The response from Triple J listeners was unprecedented.

In 2004 Julian accepted an offer to join the Nova network and is currently anchoring the Breakfast show alongside fellow comics Tony Moclair, Lisa Fernandez and Ryan (Fryzie) Fitzgerald on the highly successful Nova 91.9 Adelaide.

A talented radio and television performer with an easy charm and a sharp wit, Julian Schiller is one of the country's most respected original talents.
