Peter Fitzsimons
Peter Fitzsimons is an ex Ruby Union International, best selling author and well respected columnist for the Sydney Morning Herald and the London Daily Telegraph. He is also a television presenter on the Nine Network. Born on a farm in Peat's Ridge, Peter was offered an American Field Service Scholarship in Ohio whilst at Knox College, followed by an Arts degree at Sydney University majoring government and political science. In 1984 he broke into the Wallabies under the coaching of Alan Jones, then lived in France and Italy playing rugby for the next five years whilst learning both languages as well as Spanish. Upon his return to Australia he again played for the Wallabies, under Bob Dwyer, going on to play seven tests. Peter boasts an impressive list of interview credits including George Bush, Mother Theresa, Nicki Lauda and Carl Lewis. Peter's fascinating background and personality make him an excellent after dinner speaker who can also inspire as well as being a very polished MC.
